I think 3.5 stars is the correct amount.
I did enjoy the book and I enjoyed the writing style very much.
After reading about Kate's difficult pregnancy I was looking forward to reading about the relief of having giving birth, talk about her new body and that kind of thing, however, there was only one sentence devoted to that big issue - something about being able to see her feet again. *sigh*
The other thing I felt was missing was the media - I remember them appearing on Dr Phil - it was one of their very first appearances - but it was not mentioned.
Perhaps their appearances and the show itself was not mentioned because of legal reasons? Who knows? We are left wanting and speculating, the media was/ and is a big part of their lives and would have made very interesting reading - because how else can an ordinary person ever learn about that world?
Well you won't learn a thing about it from this book. It's a bit of a shame.
There was more left out, like discussions between Jon and Kate that must have taken place, I've read many biographies and I noticed that Jon as a partner to Kate is missing from the story.
It seems as though the only time he ever got his own way was when he said 'no' to the adoption.
Overall, you do get a fairly good idea of what Kate is like as a person.

With all of the scandal in the news on John & Kate, I DVRd the entire series and watch from the beginning. Great show when things were in perspective where the family and kids came first. How things changed quickly when a little money fell into the hands of two selfish parents competing against each other.
This book must have been written before all of the chaos surfaced because by reading it, you would think that Kate was this major religious person and very caring individual not only to her family but everyone she surrounds. If you watched the show then the majority of the content is in this book but in more detail. Very interesting read and I did keep an open mind when reading and thought it was very good.

I usually get annoyed watching the TLC show, but surprisingly I enjoyed the book. I read it in two days. It was very interesting to see how their family dynamics all played out. I would recommend for an easy quick read.

I bought this book a while back- before trouble was publicly brewing between Jon and Kate. At the time, I really liked the book and the peek into their lives- on a more personal level than their TLC show. However, due to the present circumstances, I would not read this book again AND if I hadn't gotten this book before, I would not get it now.
